Q: Are you a digital or a print-based studio?
A: Susi Holmes Photography is a print-based studio. We firmly believe that the best way to enjoy photography is by displaying it in a prominent place in your home! Your portrait should not require any effort to be viewed and should be enjoyed on a daily basis with just a simple gaze!
Q: What about digital files?
A: Although we believe that the best way to enjoy photography is through the printed medium, we also understand clients’ need to share their priceless memories on social platforms. For this reason, we offer complementary web-sharing files on each ordered pose.
Q: Where do your photography sessions take place?
A: Susi Holmes Photography sessions take place at a location of your choosing, within 20 miles of 80919 zip code. We are happy to travel outside of the Colorado Springs area. Travel fee is $75/hr. Depending on your pet & needs, we can photograph in your home, outside on your property, or at a location that may have significant meaning to you & your furrever friend.
Q: My dog is super high-energy and unruly. Can we still do a session?
A: Yes! To guardians of high energy dogs we suggest a fast-paced play session, or a long walk, shortly before the photoshoot. High energy pups will still be happy and active during our session, but releasing some of that pent-up energy will result in a calmer vibe & better images.
Q: I’d like the session to be at a public park, but my pet needs to be leashed. Can you edit it out?
A: We understand that some pets may need to be leash-bound during the photoshoot. This may limit us a little in the types of images we can get, but we can try to minimize the leash as much as possible. For a small additional fee, the leash can also be removed during the image development process.
Q: What is your weather policy?
A: Due to Colorado's weather "bipolar nature", we always plan to meet at the agreed upon time & place. If we deem it unsafe to be out in the open the session will be reschedules as soon our calendar allows (sessions must be scheduled within 6 months from original date to avoid forfeiture of the creative fee). There are some great images to be had in the snow, or right after a thunderstorm, so don't fret about weather! We will make the best out of it and create beautiful images for you.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: A minimum of 48 hours are required for any cancellations. Cancellations made within less than 48 hours will forfeit the creative fee amount.
Q: When do I pay for my session?
A: The Creative Fee ($75/hr) must be paid in full in order to secure your session on our calendar. The remaining balance, for any printing services, must be paid in full when the order is placed during your "view & choose" appointment.
Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: Our turnaround time for your "view & choose" appointment is approximately 2 weeks from the session's date. The turnaround time, of our professional lab, is: approximately 1 weeks (from your "view & choose" date) for prints & wall art displays and approximately 2 weeks for albums & books.
